Not listed on UKNIWM

Located at road junction at top of Patna at OS Map Ref NS 410 107 (just below the original Patna memorial).

This is a new memorial that was completed in time for Remembrance Day 2011. It replaces two other memorials which remain intact but have access problems. The original Patna memorial at http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=1062 and the memorial for Lethanhill and Burnfoothill at
http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=1223.

Both plaques contain exactly the same information as the original memorials, the Patna plaque has just the name William Landsborough moved to the end (presumably for reasons of space) whereas the Lethanhill and Burnfoothill plaque has the names sorted alphabetically.

I like the idea of the communities creating this new memorial and still leaving the originals in-situ. Not only that but Paul's post about the Patna memorial renovations shows that the original memorials are not being abandoned.

Well done East Ayrshire Council and all those involved in this project.
