Edward Crichton, aged 38, died in the Ministry of Pensions Hospital, Craigleith, Edinburgh on 5 August 1921 of heart disease resulting from "Trench Fever".
His service record shows that he was 'demobbed' in October 1919 as Private 220236 in the Cameron Highlanders but that he was granted a pension for the same reasons as his eventual cause of death.
He lived with his wife Alice Pringle at Magdala Terrace in Galashiels and he is named on the War Memorial together with his brother Sgt. James Crichton KOSB who died on 27 September 1915 in France.
Terry at In From the Cold Project has accepted the case.
Need to find out where he is buried. _________________ Ken
