Just found out fully that Lt Col Colin McGrory , Secretary to the Trustees of the Scottish National War Memorial at Edinburgh Castle and Keeper of the Rolls has left the Post during April this year after being on sick leave for some time. He was a Lt Col in the Royal Corps of Signals before taking up the post when Lt Col Roger J. Binks retired from the post a few years ago. It seems also more recently that Mary- Claire MacFarlane , the Assistant Secretary has left her post .

I hear that the Trustees of the Scottish National War Memorial now has a Chief Executive and she is also taking the role of Keeper of the Rolls . The CEO is Susan FLINTOFF . I note she is at present on leave from her office until 18th July . I dont know if she has any assistants or if she is full time as Lt Col McGrory and Mary- Claire MacFarlane were Part time at the SNWM at the Castle .

I thought this maybe of interest to colleagues here but they may have realised of the staff changes recently .

Best wishes

Thanks Pat. That is interesting. Lt Col Binks was a great appointment and did a lot to update the rolls. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

Thanks

Ive heard back today from the newish CEO of the SNWM as she has replaced the Lt Colonel (retired ) and an assistant . She is part time and i dont think she has an assistant as she is having to organise the Memorial events herself and with no help from others like Lt Col Binks and Lt Col McGrory who have left the organisation . Lt Col McGrory has relocated to the south coast of england after his very short stint at the SNWM. Lt Col Binks was at the helm for nearly 10 Years and Lt Col McGrory took over just biefore the pandemic .
