Last night I watched on BBC2 the programme "Grand Tours of Scottish Lochs" (Series 2 Episode 5). It focused on the lochs of Scotland's South West and, in particular, the Loch Ryan area which saw a lot of activity in WW2. An old chap was interviewed and he told of how, just after the war, he and his pals were playing around an old bombing target above Loch Ryan. They were throwing around spent bombs and shells: sadly, one wasn't spent; it exploded and his pal, "Paddy" Breslin was killed.

It got me thinking! There is a William Francis Breslin who died at Garrick Hospital in Stranraer on 17 March 1946 from the effects of an exploding bomb.

I put this through to Terry tonight. He's come back to say he was submitted yesterday with full evidence and shouldn't be a problem.

Good to know he has gone forward. (Someone must have watched to same programme!)
