The article includes a reference to a Private John Fulton of the A&SH from Allan's home town of Glen Luce, in Wigtownshire.
The CWGC Register has:

Son of John and Fanny Fulton, of Low Airyolland, New Luce, Wigtownshire.
KARASOULI MILITARY CEMETERY, Greece.
John is named on the Glen Luce War Memorial and Mike Morley provided this:
Wigtownshire Free Press (10/10/1918): Mr and Mrs Fulton, East Borland, Glenluce, have been officially notified that their eldest son, Private John Fulton, A&SH, died of wounds received in action on September 19. Pte Fulton was 10 years with the colours, and spent most of his time in Malta and India. At the outbreak of war he came home on short leave, then rejoined his battalion and went to France where he went through some heavy fighting. In February 1916 he was drafted to Salonika. _________________ Ken |
