PostPosted: Wed Jan 31, 2007 7:25 pm    Post subject: Sutherland's Second World War Dead Mc / Mac Reply with quote

Over the past few years I have been collecting the names from the war memorials of Sutherland and also searching through databases, rolls of honour, old newspapers etc. for information on those who had a connection with Sutherland who have died in the wars of the 20th Century.

I will post all the data I have onto the forum split into manageable chunks.

There are several men killed in aircrashes in Sutherland during the war listed. Although not connected to Sutherland except in their death I felt it was appropriate to list them here. I have also listed the names of other servicemen who died in Sutherland during the war in accidents or in hospital.

I will update this list if I find out any more information and I would welcome any other information on these men and women.

I make no distinction between names beginning Mc or Mac so the Macs do not come before Mc in this list.
