The GRO records for England and Wales show that he died in the Pontypool area of Wales |

George Grimson Young – age 21 – Ordinary Signalman (D/JX421545) H.M.S. Copra, Royal Navy.
HMS Copra was a Royal Navy shore base at Largs in Ayrshire for RN personnel attached to Combined Operations. George died of kidney disease in the Law Hospital in Carluke, Lanarkshire.
Born 1925 in North Berwick. Son of the late William Kay Young (died 1928 in Montreal, Canada) and Helen (Grimson) Young. Husband of Annie Donald (McLaughlan) Young of 37 Sanderson Avenue, Fallside, Uddingston who he married in 1944 in Bellshill, Lanarkshire.
Died on 14 February 1945 and buried in Bothwell Park Cemetery, Bellshill. _________________ Ken |
