Neilston War Memorial Association
A service of dedication, remembrance & thanksgiving Saturday 7th November 2015 (Guests to assemble 14:15 for 14:30)
As guests assemble the bells of St Thomas’ and Neilston Parish will be rung -Veterans, Soldiers family members, invited dignitaries’ , and Sponsors with tickets will be directed to seated areas at each side of the memorial path.
East Renfrewshire Schools Brass Ensemble will play a series of Music pieces at the memorial
Parade:
Parade will assemble at Neilston Primary School 14:00
Parade:
Led by Neilston Pipe Band
Parade Chief Marshall- Warrant officer Bob Alexander
James McVey
Iain Forsyth
Parade participants to Include
Royal British Legion (with colours)
Barrhead Army Cadet Group (with colours)
Air Cadet Group (with colours)
1st Neilston BB (with colours)
1st Neilston GB (with colours)
1st Neilston Scouts (with colours)
2nd Neilston Guides (with colours)
Local schools representatives
Parade will move 14:15 off down High Street, past Pig Square and up Main Street to the memorial
Arrival of the parade – Neilston Pipe Band stand and play
(Tune to be arranged)
The Colours will form on each side of the memorial path and be received by the Lord Lieutenant

Dedication Ends
Parade re forms on Main street - across from St Thomas church gates to take salute and will depart to the pipes and drums and the peeling of the church bells;
Parade will take the salute, head south down Main street, turn left into Station Road, at the top of Station Road turn left onto High Street progress down High Street and disperse at Neilston Primary school car park.
The Churches of the Village will provide tea and coffee in the St Thomas Church hall after the proceedings’
