I did some work for the Head of History at Broxburn Academy and there is a Memorial Panel, brass and with embossed names in black and red in the entrance to the main hall which had been kept under guard by the Janitor when he rescued it from a council tip, he is ex KOSB. The nearest public one would be Whitburn.

There's also a memorial (which I thought looked fairly new) in Winchburgh which has a very unusual bronze of a boy drummer. Unfortuately I didn't have my camera with me last time I was working there but I'll get pics next time. |

I am lead to believe that there is a memorial in the old Broxburn Parish Church in Station Road - I'll check it out when I'm next at my Mum's.

There are now plans to look into building a new memorial at Broxburn. A meeting is to be held on 25th August in the Strathbrock Partnership Centre at 7.30pm.

From the (Edinburgh) Evening News on Wednesday 02 June 2010:
Community groups seek new people
Broxburn residents are being urged to come forward to support two vital community groups. Volunteers are being sought to set up a new community council and to support the War Memorial Project.
... (community council) ...
Volunteers are also being sought to help organise a dedication ceremony for the new war memorial. The memorial is expected to be finished by the end of September, with a dedication ceremony planned for October to ensure that the memorial is ready for Armistice Day.
The next meeting of the war memorial group will take place in Uphall Community Centre on 16 June at 6pm.
