I have forwarded this case to Terry Denham of the In From the Cold Project.
Sergeant 1204 Walter Forrester 8th Bn. Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders enlisted on 19 December 1910 and was discharged on 25 April 1916 as no longer fit for active service (KR xvi - wounds) He was issued with Silver War Badge No. 246542 on 1 October 1917.
He died on 7 January 1920 of "Renal Disease (result of wounds received in action)"
Although his service/pension records do not seem to have survived, there is probably enough evidence to have his case considered. _________________ Ken |

I've arranged to talk to West Dunbartonshire Cemetery Office staff tomorrow and will post their response.
