The separate Depots of the Glasgow Transport Corporation originally had their own memorials. Now that most of the depots have been closed they are located in Parkhead Depot which still operates as part of First Bus.

My thanks to Alex Glass for these photographs.

First of all some general shots of the "Memorial Garden". Please note that this is in the car park and seems to be barricaded in by cars.





The large memorial in the centre is for Whitevale Depot. Here's a photo of the unveiling:



And today. This is the only one of these memorials which can be seen from the street, and only the top of it is visible.









The names are on the other side:

Listed on the Kirkmabreck Parish War Memorial in Creetown, Kirkcudbrightshire as:

M'NEARNIE, JAMES PTE. LOWLAND FIELD AMB.
CWGC spell the name as McNairnie.
James McNearnie age 28 Private (1780) 3rd/1st Lowland Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps.
Born 1887 in Newton Stewart, Penninghame Parish, Wigtownshire as McNernie.

Son of James and Janet (Menzies) McNearnie of Harbour Street and then Blackland Cottage, Creetown and later of Oatlands, Glasgow. (Source:GRoS 1901 census and CWGC)
Died on Active Service/Lost at Sea 13 August 1915. (Source:Kirkcudbrightshire Advertiser 14/7/1916 p.4d)
Commonwealth War Grave Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
Also listed on the Glasgow Roll of Honour and on the memorial from the Whitevale Depot of the Glasgow Corporation Tramways, now in the Parkhead Depot.

Missing in Action 1 July 1916.
Commonwealth War Grave Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme, France.
Also listed on the Glasgow Roll of Honour, on the 15th HLI Memorial in the Museum of Transport in Glasgow and on the memorial from the Whitevale Depot of the Glasgow Corporation Tramways, now in the Parkhead Depot.
