The 2 Montieth's listed were brothers and sons of the local minister.

There is a graveyard memorial of Monteith and his brother here http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/viewtopic.php?p=12598&mforum=scottishwargraves#12598

Apart from their listing on this memorial, they are also listed on the Moniaive church memorial here http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=2164 and the Glencairn church memorial here http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=2379

Well represented as you would expect for sons of the minister.

Being a minister himself, the younger brother is also listed on the ministers memorial in St Giles, Edinburgh here http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=880

Reverend William Monteith also appears on the Elie Parish Church Memorial in Fife. He was minister there between 1907 and 1914 when he joined the Army.

As a resident of Elie in 1914 he is also listed on the local War Memorial
