While researching for the Roll of Honour I'm compiling for the parish of Muiravonside, I found two men outwith the parish but with the same names as two men from the parish, the information may be useful to others so I've decided that all information I find that doesn't fit I will post here.

He was a pipe moulder at Callander Ironworks, Falkirk, aged 48, and had previously served as a Regular in the Regiment to which he was attached. I have started another thread with respect to Matthew Brown. It is possible that he could be forwarded to the MoD as a non-commemoration.

Thank you David for putting up this newspaper report.

Stuart
