Kirkintilloch YMCA memorial
Location: Clydesdale Bank, 110 Cowgate, Kirkintilloch
Date of Original Unveiling: Unknown. Original memorial lost, new plaque erected some time after 1976
Number of Pre-1914 Names: N/A
Number of WW1 Names: 23
Number of WW2 Names: 8
Number of Post-1945 Names: 0

As the plaque states, the original memorial was a stained glass window in the YMCA building which stood on the Cowgate. The membership of the YMCA declined after the Second World War and the Clydesdale took over the building, which was then demolished in 1976.

At the very least the Clydesdale Bank have retained the names. A photo of the original building can be found here:

All of the WW1 names (except Thomas Oatts) are listed on the Kirkintilloch WM as are all the WW2 names (except Hugh Ferrie)

I think this is Ferrie
