David,

Looking for Edward Fitzsimmons Pvt. Royal Scots KIA 27/09/1915.

He was a native of Blairgowrie but removed to Glasgow. CWGC gives mothers address at 113 Burnside St, Glasgow.

Any ideas of where he might be commemorated if address is relevant?

regards,
Mark

W P McFarlane is listed in the Glasgow City Roll of Honour. Listed as a Private in the Royal highlanders, address 8 Mathieson Road.

Edward Fitzsimmons is also listed in the Glasgow Roll of Honour. Private, royal Scots, address 113 Burnside Street.

The next name on the Roll, Hugh J Fitzsimmons, Private Black Watch, has the same address.

I think the answer to this is that their "Glasgow" place of commemoration is the Cenotaph in George Square.

Regards,

David
