The plaque to James and Robert Anderson is located within Douglas Valley Church in Douglas. My thanks to Mrs Jean Cronin for allowing us access.



ANDERSON, ROBERT COVENTRY

Rank: Second Lieutenant
Date of Death: 04/11/1917
Age: 38
Regiment/Service: Royal Field Artillery, 282nd Bde.
Grave Reference XIII. A. 12.
Cemetery DOZINGHEM MILITARY CEMETERY
Additional Information: Son of James and Agnes Campbell Willison Anderson. Native of Glasgow.

I have tried to find some information on James Anderson but nothing concrete so far.

I haven't back-tracked this site yet but I think it's to do with railways in Argentina.

He is also listed on the Kelvinside Academy memorial togther with a relative (cousin?) Charles Coventry Anderson, Lieutenant Anson Battalion RN Division, killed at Gallipoli 8/5/1915.
