A.H.M. HENDERSON.

Named on the Galashiels War Memorial in Selkirkshire as:

2ND.LT. A. HUBERT M. HENDERSON. King's Own Scottish Borderers
Andrew Hubert Millin Henderson age 20 Second Lieutenant, 1/4th (Border) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.
Andrew was educated at St. Mary's School in Melrose, Roxburghshire and at the Edinburgh Institution (now Stewart's Melville College) before becoming a student of medicine at Edinburgh University in 1913. He was a Sergeant and Lieutenant in the 1st Highland Cadet Battalion of the Royal Scots from 1911 to May 1913 when he gained a commission in the Territorial 4th KOSB. Andrew landed with his battalion at Gallipoli in June 1915 but he was killed a month later during the battle at Achi Baba Nullah.
Born 1895 in St. Andrew, Edinburgh. Son of Dr. Percy James Henderson, M.B. and of Hannah Jane or Annie (Millin) Henderson of 9 Church Street, Galashiels.
Missing in Action on 12 July 1915 and named on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
Also named on the Edinburgh Institution and Edinburgh University Rolls of Honour.
