the courier and advertiser (angus edition) for 14th Feb 2018 reported that THE Rev Maggie Hunt in st Margaret's church with plans for the centre .

St Margaret's church in Forfar is to be DEMOLISHED for a new £1million multi purpose community centre.
The plans were given the go ahead at the meeting of the angus council development review committee . It would appear that a previous application had been refused but the church members came back to the council and pointed out that there were new buildings on the same section of road viz the Forfar police office , Forfar Library, Bank of Scotland, AG Barr and Ramsay ladders .
The church dates back to the 1880s

I found the Facebook page of ST MARGARETS CHURCH in FORFAR and asked them what they were to do with the war memorials in the church that were from the church and from merged churches and I was told that the church ITSELF was not to be DEMOLISHED but the existing Victorian SANTUARY area to build a new disabled access multi purpose centre to meet as a CHURCH and CENTRE for the community .

Hoping the EXISTING WAR MEMORIALS would be re-homed in the new building if not work with a appropriated organisations to preserve them .
