Belmont House School, Sandringham Avenue, Newton Mearns, Glasgow G77 5DU.
OS Grid Ref: NS 550567
Celebrating its 80th anniversary, Belmont House School was founded in 1929 as a boys' preparatory school in the Giffnock area of Glasgow. In 1934 we moved to our current location in the former Mansion House of the Broom Estate, expanding to become an all-through school in 1977 and co-educational in 2000.
The school motto ‘Strenue sed Aeque', which translates as "strong but fair", was introduced by the School's founder, Gerald Arnold Montague Dale, and still underpins the values and ‘principles for life' we promote today, which are centred around commitment, co-operation, sense of identity, individuality, reliability, respect and responsibility. www.belmontschool.co.uk/
