WHO WAS BORN AT DUNDEE ON THE 29TH OF AUG. 1783
& DIED AT SEA THE 10TH OF MAY 1843

HE SERVED IN THE PENNINSULA WITH THE OLD 94TH (SCOTS BRIGADE)
FROM JAN. 1810 TO OCT. 1813
AND WAS PRESENT AT THE FOLLOWING ENGAGEMENTS

LINES OF TORRES VEDRAS,
PURSUIT OF MESSENA,
ACTIONS AT REDINHA, PUDENTS
FOZ D' ARONCE, AND
SABUGAL,
BATTLE OF FUENTES D'ONORR,
SIEGE & BLOCKADE OF BADAJOZ, (1811)
ACTIONS AT EL BODEN AND GUINALDO,
SIEGE & STORM OF GUIDAD RODRIGO,
SIEGE & STORM OF BADAJOZ, (1812)
BATTLE OF SALAMANCA,
CAPTURE OF MADRID,
THE RETIRO AND FORT LA CHINA
BATTLE OF VITTORIA
BEING TWICE SEVERELY WOUNDED.
