George Porter, shop assistant and Private Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders died in Hartwood Asylum, Shotts on 29 June 1917 aged 38.
Usual Residence, 1055 Sauchiehall St. Glasgow.
Cause of death was General Paralysis of the Insane.
He enlisted on 9 December 1915, was discharged on 15 December 1916 and awarded a Silver War Badge (076488)
His service number is given as S/16892 and that he did not serve overseas - however there is a Medal Card for a Gordon Porter of the Argylls GS/16822.
