I haven't seen a thread on this, do we still do resolutions nowadays?

Mine are:

To post one new war memorial a day for the month of January from the big backlog of more difficult photos that I have.

To get all war memorials in Dumfries and Galloway 'at risk' from metal thieves marked with smartwater, i.e. those with metal components outside of buildings. I have a meeting a week on Friday and I think it will go ahead.

To do a full cross check and update between D&G war memorials threads, the index and UKNIWM, checking names and updating/reporting to UKNIWM. 20 memorials done, only another 530 or so to go!

What is anyone else up to?

\Paul

I never made any resolutions this year. I have been letting a lot of things slip lately so I've quite a lot to chose from.

I'll pick one and that is to finally get to the bottom of churches in Edinburgh and get round the ones still in existence to photograph the memorials.

Regards

Adam

Mine is to finally sort out the hundreds of war related family headstones I have from Arbroaths two big cemeteries. Been putting that one off for a few years, there's thousand sof images to sort through.... I'll need a few days locked in with microwavable food to manage it.

Derek.

Not a resolution, more a general update. Currently searching local newspapers for the unveilng/dedication reports for all categories of Perthshire War Memorials. Transcription is also underway. A lot of work and time consuming too - I'm no touch typist! I may extend this to memorials in Perthshire at the time of the Great War but now in Stirling council area.
