I've searched and can see no mention of these elsewhere.
I was in the Mitchell Library earlier and noticed, for the first time, two War Memorials to members of staff.
It's possible they've been in place for years and I've simply failed to notice them. It's equally possible they were given a good clean up in advance of Remembrance Day. They look like they could possibly be new.
They're on the wall of the corridor outside the old Reading Room (now used for exhibitions). If you enter via North Street and turn left, they're on your right hand side.
Does anyone have any additional info? If they're new to us I'll try to get photos over the next few days. |

I knew they had memorials but wasn't sure of their exact location. |

Jim,
You are correct.
The memorials have been in a staff area since 1922 and only located in their present position since 2011.

Many thanks for bringing them to everyone's attention.
