I cannot supply the information you require, but would suggest to get in touch with the North Ronaldsay Trust. There is an email address on their front page. Hope they can help.

Skipper John Thomson:
His date of birth is 30 November 1883, not 13 November 1883 (confirmed through GROS record). Furthermore, if he died on 19 November 1918, he would have been aged 35, not 44.

[Post edited] I notice from the pics on the North Ronaldsay memorial that BOTH men named John Thomson died in hospital. It is therefore quite possible that they were discharged as a result of ill health. As they were both reservists, this would mean that they do not qualify for CWGC status.
