WW1
Corpl Alexander Forbes (Pte.) KOSB 04.06.1915 Helles Memorial

I'm wondering if this man man is in fact the casualty below?

(Glasgow Herald 23rd November 1914)
"News reached Kelso on Saturday that Priavte Alexander Kelso, of the King's Own Scottish Borderers, had been killed in action at the front. He was a son of Pipe-Major A. Forbes, Wood Market, Kelso, who was with the K.O.S.B. during Lord Roberts march on Kandahar. When the present war broke out Private Forbes, who had been about six years in the army, was with his regiment in India, and came to Europe with the drafts from that dependency. An elder and younger brother are also in the forces."

If he was mistakenly reported to have been a K.O.S.B. in the Glasgow Herald, it may have been so in the paper Mr McGinlay sourced his data from?

I see from the Great War Forum that John Tice, RAMC has been put forward as a non-com.
