A Good Year to You All!
Firstly, an apology. Due to poor health I have not been able to complete the promised project of the bibliography of "In Memoriam" volumes. This I hope to finish during the year.
However, I have recovered well enough to try another visit to Burma. Leaving end Jan and return four weeks later. I shall be visiting the two War cemeteries in Rangoon (Yangon) and the cemetery at Moulmein, site of the north-western end of the Burma Railway, south of Rangoon.
I shall also be travelling through the "Railway Corridor", the area of Chindit operations in 1944. We hope to discover the site of the "Blackpool Fortress" where 111 Chindit Brigade (including 1st Cameronians) fought.
From Burma I shall be flying into Assam and staying at Kohima for 2 days. I shall visit as many of the memorials as possible including those to 1st Cameron Highlanders and 1st Royal Scots of the British 2nd Division.
If any member wishes me to take photographs of a particular grave etc. or to mark a memorial or grave with a small poppy cross please get in touch. I shall do my best to fulfill any requests.

LS

Glad to see you back on the forum and in good enough health to travel to Burma.

I don't have any requests for grave photographs but I would appreciate seeing any new photographs of the Cameron Highlanders memorial at Kohima and the 1st Royal Scots memorial.

Kind regards

Adam
