I'm not sure about the background of this one, it's located in a public park near a part of town known as "The Heathery".

This memorial looks quite modern, as if it has replaced an older memorial.

According to Wishaw's Part In The Great War this memorial was unveiled on Sunday 12th October 1919 and was the first war memorial (or Hero Memorial as it was known in Wishaw) unveiled in the town

It was originallt erected in the grounds of Sunnyside Church.
