This has now been saved from the back of a store room at the Post Office
Lochaber News
Quote: | YOU'LL recall the LN story last month about the memorial to the 18 Fort William and District GPO men who gave their lives for their country in the two world wars. The ornate, carved and engraved wooden plaque has now been removed from the Fort's Royal Mail sorting office and has been tastefully relocated in Room 4 of the West Highland Museum - for all to see and remember. |

Excelent news and good to see a local museum taking a memorial so it can be on public display in the community it should be in.
Thanks
