Edward James Stevenson is named as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Black Watch, dying on 2 June 1921. He is not listed on CWGC. However, from the Find a Grave site he is identified as a District Inspector in the Royal Irish Constabulary who, along with 7 other police officers, was killed in an IRA ambush at Carrowkennedy, near Westport, on 2 June 1921, aged 21.
