Two brothers whose mother was German, naturalised British: explains their forenames.

Name: SPENCER, WILLY PATON BERTHOLD
Initials: WPB
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Lieutenant
Regiment/Service: Wiltshire Regiment, 2nd Bn, "D" Coy
Date of Death: 10/3/1915
Age: 17
Additional Information: Son of Dr. and Mrs. Frederic Spencer, of 58, Hornsey Lane, Highgate, London. Educated at Dulwich College and Sandhurst.
Panel Reference: Panel 33 and 34
Memorial: Le Touret Memorial.

I cannot trace his brother, Hermann Henry Frederic Elliott Spencer, other than to confirm his death in early 1919 (from Ancestry records). Interestingly, the school's information on him does not refer to any regiment or service.
