Moody Grant died following an appendicitis operation at Norwich.
Brother - James (Jimmy) Grant b. 31 Dec 1895 Private no.693353 of the 79th Cameron Highlanders (Canadian) ,
having emigrated to Canada, joined up at Winnipeg in 1917, killed in action near Amiens France 9th Aug 1918 and is buried in Manitoba Caix Cemetery, France GRAVE B.18.
He might be the James Grant on page 6 of this thread - which has no detail recorded for the James Grant mentioned.
Their father John Grant died 21 Dec 1910 and is buried at Advie, mother Helen (Nellie) Grant nee Kilgour died 5 Sep 1929 - She and Moody are buried together in Elgin cemetery.
My great great grandfather's brother Moody Grant. RIP

Killed in a swimming accident on the Taia River, Njala, Sierra Leone 21 May 1924

My Great Uncle one of eleven family members who served in WW1. His name is John Alexander Simpson not John M Simpson. Medals on display at Royal Scots Museum Edinburgh Castle. The 5 x Letters from his Commanding Officer and serving colleagues to my Great Grandmother I have in my possession
