Whitehouse - Argyll & Bute, Kintyre District

Whitehouse war memorial in Kintyre, Argyle & Bute. Its a 15-20 foot grey granit celtic cross by Gray & Co. with a wheel head and a carved face which features a celtic galley in the panel at the base of the cross shaft.
The front lettering is worn and states:
IN MEMORY
OF THE HEROES OF THE DISTRICT
WHO VOLUNTEERED AND FELL IN THE GREAT WAR

MacKie J. Logan Ayrshire Yeomanry Lieutenant (Acting Captain) Killed while leading his company, Zeitunridge, December 27th 1917 after the entry into Jerusalem

Kelly Robert Royal Scots Fusiliers Private
McPhail Peter Royal Scots Fusiliers Private
Ross Charles Royal Scots Fusiliers Private
