First of all I would like to apologise for the attack of spam which the forum received overnight. As soon as I noticed it, I immediately banned the user and removed it al from the forum.

However, due to this I have had to take the decision to prevent anyone registering if they use a Gmail email address. The vast majority of the spammers who register have one of these email addresses, so this should assist us with preventing them registering and filling the forum with garbage.

If we continue to receive attacks of spam I may have to go down the route of having to approve every new user. This is something I would rather avoid.

If any current, legitimate user has a Gmail address, I would suggest finding an alternative.
