Drongan does not have a civic memorial, perhaps reflecting the fact that it was much smaller a hundred years ago that it is now (the village saw spectacular growth in the 1940s and 50s related to local mining). However, there is a memorial plaque in the Schaw Kirk in Drongan. This picture of it was supplied by the minister: Rev Dave whiteman.
The relevant civic monument for this village is in the nearby village of Coylton. |
