I was intrigued why the last man's date of death was not clear. It turns out he died in 1941, not 1940 as on the plaque.

Born 1921 in Edinburgh. Son of Captain Edward Cecil Malet-Warden, R.N. and of Agnes Helen (Pennycuick) Malet-Warden.
Killed in Action – 17 August 1941.
Commonwealth War Grave – Jonkerbos War Cemetery, Netherlands.

Z6754 was one of three 78 Sqdn Whitleys lost on this operation. See: Z6577; Z6823. Airborne 2305 16Aug41 from Middleton St.George. Cause of loss not established. Crashed 0350 at Buggenum (Limburg), 5 km NNW of Roermond, Holland. All are buried in Jonkerbos War Cemetery. DOUGLAS McMILLAN DREW, B.A. (Oxon) – age 35 – Flying Officer/Navigator (145376) 115 Squadron, Bomber Command, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
Born 1909 in Newton Stewart, Penninghame Parish. Son of James Lawson Drew and of Mary Walker (MacMillan) Drew of Newton Stewart.
Killed in Action – 23 April 1944.
Commonwealth War Grave – Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany.

"Serial Range ND324 - NE181 This aircraft was one of 600 Lancaster Mk.111s ordered from A.V.Roe (Chadderton) and delivered from Dec43 to May44 with Merlin 38 engines. ND753 was delivered to 115 Sqdn ex-75 Sqdn Mar44. Performed no operations with No.75 Sqdn lost on first Key Operation with No.115 Sqdn When lost this aircraft had a total of 40 hours. Airborne 2302 22apr44 from witchford. Hit by Flak and crashed at Unterrath in the northern outskirts of Dusseldorf, bursting into flames on impact. All are buried in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery. F/O Drew had attended Oxford University, gaining a BA Degree. I thought Bomber Command mixed up RAAF, RCAF, RNZAF with RAF aircrew until the end of the war. I stand to be corrected though.

HUGH DAVID PARKER – age 35 – Driver (1893393) Royal Engineers.
Born 1910 in Penninghame. Son of Hugh and Jessie Black (Marshall) Parker. Husband of Annie Young (Cringles) Parker of Carsluith, Kirkmabreck, Kirkcudbrightshire who he married in 1929 in Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire.
Died – 5 October 1945 of Tuberculosis at home in Carsluith.
Commonwealth War Grave – Challoch (All Saint) Episcopalian Churchyard.

PATRICK KENNETH MONTGOMERY STEWART – age 27 – Captain (53716) 1st Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.
Born 1912 in Farnham, Surrey. Son of Colonel Patrick Alexander Vansittart Stewart, C.B.E. D.S.O. and of Mildred Annie Ferrers (Guy) Stewart of Little Corsbie, Newton Stewart.
Died of Wounds – 6 June 1940.
(Patrick was wounded at Dunkirk and died in hospital in Dartford, Kent)
Commonwealth War Grave – Brompton Cemetery, London.
