Not listed on UKNIWM

Location - originally this Roll of Honour was in the United Free Church (now the Women's Guild Hall) at OS Map Ref OS Map Ref NX 963 664. This church was known as Bridgend Church.

In 2007 this memorial was moved to the New Abbey Parish church at OS Map Ref OS Map Ref: NX 965 659

This Roll of Honour is normally kept in the vestry but is brought into the church for Remembrance services as it was today.

Paul,

Thank you for updating this thread with the photo of the Roll of Honour. As you may know, I intend to publish an updated Stewartry RoH. This type of nominal roll (versus RoH naming only those who died) is very valuable in filling in missing individuals and hard to find bits of information (e.g. in this case, MGC units).

Hi Ken,

It is D.H., so Deck Hand, Royal Naval Reserve (Trawler Section). Quite often worked on minesweepers.
