Cameron Road in Carluke was named after the town's Victoria Cross holder Lieutenant Donald Cameron, VC , RNVR whose bravery was awarded by the VC. His action was on 22 September 1943 in Norway on Midget Sub X 6
Two other streets in Carluke are named after Victoria Cross holders from the small town .
