The publication " The Rugged Coast " - Arbroath's Harbour and its Brave and Illustrious History - by James Le Blond - printed by the Herald Press , Arbroath

has on pages 32 - 37 the story of " Fishing Vessel "maggie Smith " together with a print of the Original Certificate of the "maggie Smith " sunk by "German Mine " February 13th , 1918 ,according to records but disputed by the author of the book.

( One of the Maggie Smith's crew was Mrs Le Blond's grandfather , John Spink ).
