This memorial's sculptor was designed by MrThomas J. Clapperton, London and native of Galashields. The Bronze work was carried out by Mr.
A.B. Burton, Founder, Thames Ditton. The memorial rises to a height of 13 feet and the base which is of Peterhead Grantie weight 2 and a half tons was erected by Beattie & Co, Carlisle. This memorial was unveiled by the Duke of Bucceleuch.
All information found in July 2010 in cutting from paper in Beattie & Co War Memorial Book, not dated.
Teddy.
