To the glory of god and in loving memory of
Lieutenant Colonel Norman Guthrie Chalmers
Late of the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders
Third son of John Inglis Chalmers esquire of Aldbar
He served throughout the Egyptian campaign in 1882, including storming of Tel-El-Kebir
Also the Nile expedition 1884-1885 and 1860, receiveing 2 medals with clasp and
Khedival star. He was severely wounded at Kosheh and was Mentioned in Despatches and
received the order of the Osmanieh for distinguished service in the field
Born 7th Aug 1847m Died 8th Dec 1901
