I saw this thread on GWF and thought that members might wish to note and perhaps comment.

http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117996

I have corresponded with Andy Whatling in the past and he was kind enough to track down and photograph a memorial for us http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=3150&highlight=vernon

I hate to see a good man apparently being pressured to stop his good work.

The issues are ones which could affect members here, although I hope not.

It's a strange situation to have found himself in. I hope he takes heart from the other comments, and as you suggest rises above it and carries on.

Cheers

I've had a wee bit more of a think about this. I don't think the other chap has a leg to stand since the website has been up and running for months and any data the book writer can find is surely in the public doman and can be tracked down by Andy. What do I know though!

I won't post on the GWF, I've not visited in a while so I don't think I can post on a subject I don't know about (It's never stopped me before I hear you say!)
