The memorial is located within Auchterless kirkyard. It is of Kemnay granite and was the work of the firm of Garden & Co., King St., Aberdeen. It was unveiled on 27th June 1920.

Note: Garden & Co. supplied the Rubislaw granite used for the base of the 51st H.D. memorial at Beaumont Hamel
