The forum's second birthday is approaching on the 14th December, and I think it's an opportunity to plug the work we have done so far, and hopefully get us some new members, and possibly encourage some existing members (who may have not posted a great deal) to contribute more.
What we need is a short "press release" type of statement which we can send to as many places as possible.
What sort of things do you think we should be including in this statement? |

I think we should look at having different messages for different media. An article published in a journal or magazine could be quite long but something on a forum needs to be quite short and snappy.

A message could highlight any or all of the following:
How many memorials we have posted – over 2,500 so far
That we are looking for memorials in churches, schools and clubs
That we are looking for all sorts of information, not just photographs
That it is all voluntary and free

We'll that's it, our second anniversary has been and gone.
We've over 25,000 posts
We're very nearly approaching 500 members
Although we've not got a big press relase out there we have had an article published in the most recent Scottish Genealogy Society Journal.
Lots more still to do though...
Cheers
