Oops!
You've added Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. This one has not been transcribed yet. |

Well spotted David. In my haste to get the list together this afternoon I just added all the Lanarkshire memorials from another list. Apart from Hamilton which we don't have there's also ones like Westburn and Wishaw which don't even have names.
I am going to be working on putting the list together properly over the next few days and it will replace this cobbled together one.
Cheers

I would think it would be a lot easier listing the ones that aren't done rather than those that have. An impressive list of work, it's brilliant what folk can do when they are all fighting for the same corner.

|

This is my first post, but I thought it might be of assistance in view of the scale of work alreafy completed.
I have been photographing, transcribing and researching all the memorials in the Moray area (including locations formerly in Banffshire). The memorials include civic, church, sporting, school memorials.
Although I have photographed all the civic memorials I have not completed transcriptions of them all. I also still have some church, school and other memorials to locate but my intention is to eventually complete a book on the various memorials.
The memorials I have thus far transcribed are as follows:
Aberlour
Alves
Archiestown
Bellie
Bellie (WWII memorial Bellie Churchyard)
Birnie
Buckie
Burghead
Craigellachie
Cullen
Cummingston
Dallachy 14 Advanced Flying Unit
Dallachy Strike Wing
Dallas
Delnashaugh
Deskford
Duffus
Dufftown
Drummuir
Dyke
Edinkillie
Elgin, New Elgin
Elgin Academy
Elgin Town Hall, 51st Highland Division Memorial
Findhorn
Findochty
Fochabers, Milne's High School
Fochabers Memorial to Major Allan Wilson
Forres
Forres 19 OTU
Forres Wellington Crash
Garmouth
Garmouth Hurricane Crash
Glenrinnes
Grange Memorial (King Memorial Hall)
Grange Memorial (Roadside plaque)
Kellas
Knockando Parish Church Memorial
Lhanbryde
Lossiemouth
Lossiemouth Crash
Miltonduff
Mulben
Newmill
Pluscarden
Portgordon
Rafford
Rothes
Rothiemay
Speymouth
Tomnavoulin
Urquhart
I am happy to provide the transcriptions for these memorials and for all the others as I complete them. I am also happy to provide photographs of all the memorials.

Wow, that is some list - I'm sure that someone will be contacting you about the transcriptions very soon.
For the photographs it would be best for you to post them yourself to be sure that you get full credit but also so you can add any bits of information you may have at the same time. For photographs we normally upload them to a hosting site (e.g. photobucket) and then just include the link in the post. There are a few of us who would give you a hand if you have any problems - contact me by PM for example.
Looking forward to seeing your posts.
Regards

Mike
Welcome to the forum. All contributions are gratefully received.
Another forum member, 'Roxy' has covered a lot of Moray already. I'm sure you'll have seen a lot of his posts in the Moray section but we can always use more photographs of memorials already posted. You also have a few on your list which we don't have yet.
Roxy has also been busy transcribing Moray war memorials and has recently done a fair few on the list above. I'll compare your list against Roxy's and let you know which ones to send.
Kind regards

Here's the list of the ones Roxy has provided. I can see Jim McGinlay has already done some Moray transcriptions too but I don't have his list to hand unfortunately. I know he has done Craigellachie and knowing Jim I'm sure he will have done others in that area at the same time.
