A delightful, small memorial situated 50 yards north of the Corrie Hotel on a bad bend in the road just above the shoreline.
Note the number of Great War casualties is less than for the Second World War, an uncommon occurrence.

Sannox Farm is a good way outside the village so perhaps he wasn't included for this reason.

William James Landsborough was the son of John Landsborough [born Tinwald DFS] and Mary McQuat Mitchell [born Crawfordjohn LKS]. He was born in Sanquhar and appears in the 1901 census at Quarter Cottage there with his parents and sister Janet.
