This looks like a scuplture provided by a monumental masons. I don't know if it can be established who was responsible for this specific memorial but it might be possible to establish who was responsible for the maquette it will have been based on.

Local papers from the time will have the information on which firm provided the memorial.

I believe it was the work of Arthur Taylor, Granite Merchant, Aberdeen.
