Shocked Shocked

I've reached the max 1GB space on Photobucket and I thought there was a thread here discussing optional Image Hosting sites, but I can't find it.

Can anyone advise me of other sites they've used and are they as simple as Photobucket?

No complicated techy sites thank you very much - I just don't understand them!! Confused

Anne

You could always upgrade to the PRO account ($25 per year). Better still, why not just create a new site for a family member? My wife might develop a sudden interest in war memorials when I run out of space and be known as spoons2, you might need a new email address but you could get one from hotmail if you cannot manage that easily from anywhere else. I will of course post any photos on 'my wife's' photobucket account in the forum using my normal name. I am sure you get the idea Laughing

Oh Paul - you're a rascal!

I have absolutely no idea how to create a new e-mail address - these are the kind of things I leave to those 'in the know'.

Typical though - just when I'm getting the hang of things

I took the plunge and registered with 'Image Shack' which looked as though it would be similar to Photobucket. I uploaded a single photo and tried pasting all the different options (to upload it to another site etc.) but none of the options worked to show the photo on the page. The 'nearest' I could get was a link.

C'mon techies - help me out here!

Anne

P.S. I don't have a clue how to get another e-mail address and it's not an option at the moment for 'those-in-the-know' to do it for me.

Anne,

Leave it with me and I'll arrange it all for you.

Anyone maxing out their photobucket account, email me for details.

Thought I would try imageshack myself

After posting an image, clicked on the second button down (image details) then in the new window, switch off thumbnail mode, click on the entry for forum, ctrl/c to copy to clipboard, then ctrl/v to paste here.

seems to work fine and not too difficult to use.

Having a wee go .....

Added: Well, well, well, it worked!

I think I'll have to have a wee foutter around with it - just to 'get the hang' of things.

Thanks for the instructions Paul. Dear knows what I was doing before, but I didn't do it right anyway.
