Allan Gibbon is also commemorated on Auchterarder War Memorial;

GIBBON, ALLAN.
Cloan Gardens, Corporal, 1/6 Black Watch. Enlisted 4th August, 1914. Home Service - Inverkeithing and Dundee. Served France - in Machine Gun Section; wounded 4th December, 1915. Returned to France (Machine Gun Section) May, 1916. Died from wounds received in the Battle of the Scarpe 14th May, 1917; Buried at Fampoux. Twice recommended for decotration.

Does anyone have a casualty report for this man ?

Soldiers died in the Great War show Allan Gibbon as

Machine Gun Corps ( Infantry)

Gibbon , Allan , Pte 23313, Born Belhelvis , Aberdeen, enlisted Auchterarder , died of wounds 14 May 1917 F & F formerly 1781 Royal Highlanders

My copy of the Scottish National War Memorial , Edinburgh Castle roll of honour for the Black Watch in the Great War shows :

Black Watch Roll of Honour :

GIBBON, Allan , Born Belhelvis Aberdeen, 1781 , Pte , d of W , F & F, 14 May 1917 . latterly 23313 Machine Gun Corps , Intantry

I see that youve taken the info from the Auchterarder Roll of Honour book so wont cover that again in this entry .
