Note: CWGC records this man as HALERO. The School memorial and Roll of Honour, as well as the birth certificate, record him as Halcro. I will raise with CWGC. He is also named on Kelvinside Academy and Kelvinside Hillhead Church War Memorials.

Update: CWGC have now amended Cpl Main's record to correct his forename and to include the award of the Military Medal identified by Ken Morrison in his note (below).
