Melrose Parish War Memorials by Major Trevor and Mrs Fiona M A Mills.
2006. Published by the Borders Family History Society. £7 exc P&P.
See the BFHS website for details: http://www.bordersfhs.org.uk/BFHSPubsSalesList.asp

This book really is a first class tribute to the men of the Parish of Melrose who died in the two world wars.
Each man has a small biography compiled from available newspaper sources etc and I know how much work and commitment has gone into this research just to get it totally accurate.

My only concern for this book is the lack of publicity it has received.

I can't speak too highly of this book - it is first class in every respect.

Borders FHS missed out on a sale when they didn't bring this to the SAFHS conference on the 26th April. I'd have bought a copy if they had.

Thanks for the heads up. Once I stop putting all my money towards decorating I might get a copy of this.
